Introduction

After a full day jeep drive passing through bumpy lane and holding the beauty of Besisahar. Annapurna Seven pass trek starts from small village “Tal”. Set a foot on all seven passes namely-Kuchurmo pass, Yarcha pass, Meta pass, Phu pass, Nar pass, Kangla pass, and the famous Thorong la pass. Among them three passes are above 4600 meter and four passes above 5,000 meters. In addition to this, exploring the multifarious villages, heart-warming cultures, flora and fauna, experiencing the optimum solidarity makes this trail unique than any other.

Annapurna Seven pass Trek
The off lying trail leads to the glacial lake of mount Manaslu- The Donalake after moving through a dense forest. Following the Kuchumro Pass and Yarcha Pass, the trek aheads to the villages namely Phu and Nar. This village represents ancient Tibetan atmosphere, only the few trekkers explore it. Walking through this trial also provides an opportunity to uncover the restricted area of Nar Phu valley with the special permit of seven days validity. The way travelled by a few and seeing the magnificent mountains, rarest animals, flowers, culture, villages itself is a wonderful thing to come across with amazing trekking experience.

Annapurna Seven Passes Trek: Remote Trails & Hidden Himalayan Wonders
Taking a steps further towards Kangla Phedi(4530m/14858ft) the trial adjoins with Nagwal/the Annapurna circuit and ascends to Manang district. This area presents the view of cultivation fields with terraces, herding of yaks, culturally predominant gompas & monasteries, a view of Gangapurna lake, Gangapurna glacier resting just above the village,world highest mountain pass (ThorangLaa Pass), the view of the striking Annapurna Massif, Mt. Dhaulagauri, Mt Machhapuchhre, Mt Manaslu and many other snow-capped peaks that cannot be pass over.

In addition, spend good time at the holy temple Muktinath (one of the world’s highest temple), the astonishing place Jomsom that has so many captivating places to take note upon. Make a scenic mountainous flight towards Pokhara which is totally optional with bus driving. Annapurna seven passes route is mostly designed for the trekkers who wants to explore most of the rarest places and are in search of something very unique to connect own self with nature.

Few Things to Know Before Your Trip

  • This trek is physically and mentally demanding. It’s meant for strong, experienced trekkers—not a casual hike.
  • Weather can change suddenly at high passes. Flexibility in your itinerary isn’t optional—it’s essential.
  • Several passes are remote and isolated, so rescue and help can take time. A guide and proper support are highly recommended.
  • Altitude sickness is real here. Walk slowly, hydrate often, and never ignore symptoms—turning back is a smart decision, not a failure.
  • Camping gear and logistics are required for some sections; teahouses are limited or nonexistent.
  • This is a true wilderness trek—carry everything you need and leave nothing behind. Respect nature and local culture at all times.

DAY 02: Guided tour around world’s Heritage sites of Kathmandu.

DAY 03: Drive to Tal via Besi Sahar (Full day Drive).

DAY 08: Trek to Namakyu Via Kuchumro Pass and Yarcha Pass.

Today is one of the most challenging yet rewarding days of the Nar Phu Valley trek. We begin very early with breakfast and carry a packed lunch. The trail starts gradually as we trek towards Kang La Phedi, then becomes steep as we ascend toward the Kang La Pass (5,306m). From the top, we are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. The descent is long and steep through alpine meadows and rocky trails, eventually leading to Ngawal (3,660m), a peaceful village with ancient architecture and tranquil surroundings. Overnight at a teahouse.

DAY 16: Rest Day in Ngawal.

After 1–2 hour walk from Ghyaru takes you to Nawal, a beautiful and open village with an ancient monastery – a perfect place for lunch. The trail continues through pine forests and yak pastures until we reach Manang. Overnight at a teahouse in Manan.

DAY 18: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka.

DAY 19: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi.

Today’s trek is a gradual ascent through open meadows and yak pastures. You’ll walk past stone walls and scattered shrubs, enjoying stunning views of Chulu East and Chulu West, and the upper Marsyangdi Valley. Thorong Phedi is a rugged, cold, and windy settlement at the base of the Thorong La Pass. Overnight stay at a teahouse.

DAY 20: Trek to Muktinath via Thorang La Pass.

This is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the trek. We start early in the morning with a steep climb to Thorong La Pass (5,416m), the highest point on the route. At the top, you’ll be greeted by prayer flags and breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After celebrating the achievement, we descend to Muktinath. The landscape transforms dramatically into dry, barren terrain. Muktinath is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists, known for its eternal flame and 108 water spouts. Comfortable teahouse accommodation and delicious food await. Overnight stay in Muktinath.

DAY 21: Trek from Muktinath to Pokhara.

After breakfast, we begin our drive to Pokhara or fly from Jomsom to Pokhara. The road is rough and bumpy, especially between Muktinath and Beni, but the journey offers spectacular views as we pass through the world’s deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Arrive in Pokhara by evening. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

DAY 22: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

We will start our trek from Tal and ascend up to Nar Pass (5400m/17712ft). We have created Itinerary in proportion to proper accommodation so normally we don’t need oxygen on this trek. In case of altitude sickness we will descend immediately. If any altitude sickness symptoms are seen then we provide Diamox as a medication.

The permits required for Annapurna Seven Pass Trek are:

According to the standard itinerary our Annapurna Seven Pass Trek is of 24 days from your arrival to Kathmandu to farewell at Airport. Normally on the 12th day of trek we will reach the Nar Pass which is at the altitude of (5400m/17712ft) from sea level, highest altitude you will be during the trek and descend back. If you wish to amend the itinerary you have to contact our booking manager he will prepare the itinerary according to your needs.

All the equipment/accessories required for trekking will be arranged for you.You will have to pay the amount for equipment. If you personally want to manage any equipment by yourself it’s fine. Yes!! The Internet is accessible during the Annapurna Seven Pass Trek. You can access the 3G network on mobile phones. The mobile internet is fast enough to browse and even make video calls. You will get continuous signal during the whole trek but there will be certain dark spots along the trek where connection may drop. There are limited WiFi hotspots during the trek which will charge for usage only some will let you use it for free. So, for internet access we recommend you to buy a SIM and use 3G.

Yes!! You can charge mobile phones and camera batteries during the trek. At most of the places you will get to charge for free but at some places you have to pay some amount to charge. Remember that It is always better to bring your power bank with you which will be helpful.

Full refund if cancelled 15 days prior; 50% refund if cancelled 8–14 days prior; no refund if cancelled within 7 days due to finalized arrangements.
