A jeep from Kathmandu passes through the adventurous roadway up to Gonggar where the trekking begins. The trekking way goes through the major places such as- Simigaon, Dovan, Beding, Na village, Kabuk, Tashi Lapcha and Khumbu. Moving ahead through Na village, the travellers come across the astonishing view of the biggest glacier lake in Nepal; Tsho Rolpa Lake located at an altitude of 4,580 meters.

DAY 01: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

DAY 02: Drive to Gongar Khola via Jiri Charikot.
Duration: Approx. 8-9 hrs drive.
Distance: Approx. 200 km (BB highway)

Early in the morning, we begin our scenic drive from Kathmandu to Gangar Khola. Along the way, we pass through Dolalghat, where we’ll witness the impressive Bhote Koshi River, a major river in the region known for its beauty and power.

The journey continues through lush forested areas rich with birdlife and the possibility of spotting wild animals. After about three hours of driving, we reach Mudhe, a region renowned for its potato production and scenic landscapes.

We will also explore Jiri, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Nepal”, thanks to its alpine scenery and cool climate. By evening, we arrive at Gangar Khola, where we will stay overnight and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 03: Trek to from Gongar Khola to Simigaon.
Duration: Approx. 4-5 hrs trek
Distance: Approx. 10-11 km

Today is our second day of the trek. After an early breakfast, we begin our journey along a scenic trail that follows the riverside path of the Tama Koshi River. The cool morning air makes for a comfortable walk, allowing us to maintain a steady pace before the day warms up.

Along the way, we’ll cross a suspension bridge, offering beautiful views of fresh spring water flowing into the river below. The trail also provides an opportunity to interact with local Sherpa, Tamang, and Gurung communities, giving us a glimpse into the rich cultural diversity of the region. We will also visit a local monastery, adding a spiritual highlight to the day.

We arrive in Simigaon by late afternoon and stay overnight in this peaceful mountain village.

DAY 04: Trek from Simigaon to Dovan.
The trek from Simigoan to Dovan is trekking into the remote Himalayan foothills. The trail gradually ascends through dense forests, traditional villages. Along the way, you’ll experience peaceful natural surroundings, local communities, and enjoy the different type of flower blooming. Perfect mix of cultural immersion and scenic beauty into the heart of eastern Nepal. After reach at Dovan, we will take rest and short explore.

DAY 05: Trek from Dovan to Beding.
Gradual climb 6-7 hours and cover 14 km along forested ridges. On the way, crossing suspension bridges. Overnight at beding and beding is famous Sherpa village.

DAY 09: Trek from Tsho Rolpa to Drolambu Glacier.
Trek 4-5 hours 8km to reach Drolambu Glacier in rocky and ice terrain and you will reach closer to Rolwaling glaciers.

DAY 10: Trek from Drolambu Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Camp via Tashi Lapcha Pass.

DAY 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla.

This is your final day of trekking. The trail mostly goes downhill and flat, passing through villages, forests, and suspension bridges. After reaching Lukla, celebrate with a farewell party for the porters who helped to make your trek successful.

DAY 14: Morning flight to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Take a morning flight back to Kathmandu. Your guide will transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, marking the end of your unforgettable Everest Base Camp Trek.

Yes!! The Internet is accessible during whole Everest Region Trek. You can access the 3G network on mobile phones. The mobile internet is fast enough to browse and even make video calls. You will get continuous signal during the whole trek but there will be certain dark spots along the trek where connection may drop. There are limited wifi hotspots during the trek which will charge for usage only some will let you use it for free. So, for internet access we recommend you to buy a SIM and use 3G.

Yes!! You can charge mobile phones and camera batteries during the trek. At most of the places you will get to charge for free but at some places you have to pay some amount to charge. Remember that It is always better to bring your power bank with you which will be helpful.

Normally, Within 12-24 hours after ascending a certain height(1,500 to 2,500 meter above sea level) altitude sickness symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, sleep problems, loss of energy, and shortness of breath are seen. In case of any altitude sickness symptoms we will apply medication and descend immediately for acclimatization.

Rolwaling Tashi lapcha Pass Trek is the trek of one of the highest trekking pass in the Khumbu region. The highest altitude you will ascend up to during this trek is Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,187ft). We have created Itinerary in proportion to proper acclimatization so normally we don’t need oxygen on this trek. In case of altitude sickness we will descend immediately. If any altitude sickness symptoms are seen then we provide Diamox as a medication.
